Waiver

Last updated: April 21, 2026

This page summarises the waiver for your awareness. The legally binding document is the one you sign on arrival at the Arena.

1. What the waiver is

Free-roam VR is a physical experience. You walk, turn, duck, and move in real space while wearing a headset that replaces your view of the room. Like any active experience, there are real risks. We explain them up front and ask every player — or the parent/guardian of any minor — to acknowledge them before playing.

You sign the waiver once, on arrival. It takes under two minutes.

2. Who signs

  • Every adult participant (18+) signs for themselves.
  • For any participant under 18, a parent or legal guardian signs on their behalf.

Pending client review

Adult on-site requirement for under-14 guests pending client confirmation. Defaulting to: a parent or guardian must remain on the premises during the session for any guest under 14.

3. Age policy

Our minimum age to play is 7. See Terms — Age & supervision for full supervision rules and per-game age ratings.

Pending client review

Minimum age: the terms-and-conditions PDF states 6+, while our current FAQ states 7+. Shipped default here is 7+ to match the live FAQ; final number to be confirmed.

4. Risks you're acknowledging

The waiver asks you to acknowledge common risks of VR and physical movement, including:

  • Motion sickness and disorientation
  • Collision with walls, objects, or other players despite safety guidance
  • Slips, trips, and falls
  • Eye strain
  • Aggravation of any pre-existing health condition

Our safety systems and staff supervision significantly reduce these risks but do not eliminate them.

5. Health conditions to disclose

Please tell us before playing if you:

  • Have a history of epilepsy, seizures, or photosensitivity
  • Are pregnant
  • Have had recent surgery or concussion
  • Have a heart condition
  • Are severely prone to motion sickness
  • Have any condition affecting balance, vision, or coordination

Disclosing doesn't automatically mean you can't play; our staff may modify the session (shorter duration, lower-intensity game, or seated option where available).

Pending client review

Health disclosure list is a standard starting set; additions or revisions from the client replace this callout.

6. Rules you're agreeing to follow

  • Listen to staff instructions at all times
  • No alcohol, cannabis, or impairment before or during play
  • Stay inside the marked play zone
  • Report any equipment issue or physical problem immediately
  • Respect other guests

7. What we can do

  • Refuse service if you're intoxicated, disruptive, or refuse safety rules (no refund)
  • End a session early if safety is at risk
  • Charge replacement cost for equipment damaged through misuse

9. Release & limitation of liability

The signed waiver includes a release of claims, waiver of liability, and indemnification clause — standard for active-recreation venues. The legal operative text is in the document you sign on arrival; this page is a plain-English summary of what it covers.

10. How signing works

You'll sign on a digital tablet at check-in when you arrive. The signed waiver is retained on file.

Pending client review

Signing method (digital tablet vs paper) pending confirmation.
